Julimar Mora Silva is a Venezuelan anthropologist, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in history at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. She has worked at the Unit for the Evaluation and Promotion of the Institute of Cultural Heritage in Venezuela (Unidad de Evaluación y Promoción del Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural de Venezuela), as a Professor at the Department of Social Theory at Universidad Central de Venezuela, and as a training professional at the Laboratory of Etnohistory and Orality (Laboratorio de Etnohistoria y Oralidad) at the Centro de Antropología “José María Cruxent” of the Instituto Venezolano de Investigación Científica. Previously, she was the manager of the body in charge of studying the cultural diversity and community dynamics at the Center for the Studies on Growth and Development of the Venezuelan Population (Centro de Estudios sobre Crecimiento y Desarrollo de la Población Venezolana). Her research studies the relationships between fashion and ethnopolitical processes of Indigenous and Afro-descendant peoples throughout Latin America and the Atlantic World.
